Become a Resident Assistant or Orientation Leader

Join our team of student leaders

Thank you for your interest in leadership opportunities at QU.  The Office of Student Development recruits well-rounded students annually for the following positions:
Resident Assistant (RA) – RAs are student leaders who live in a campus residence hall and help support up to 40 residents living in their community.  RAs meet individually with their residents, plan events for the community, and assist residents with general community concerns.  The RA position is compensated by a grant that is applied to the student’s account and covers a portion of the room & board charges each semester.
Orientation Leader (OL) – OLs are student leaders who assist new students in transitioning to QU.  OLs are compensated for each orientation event (Hawk Preview and Orientation Week) they work.
Campus Activities Board Executive Team (CAB) – The CAB executive team helps put on campus-wide events throughout the year.
Tutor/Supplemental Instructor (SI) – Tutors and SIs work directly with students to further understand their course material.
Application & Hiring Process
If you are interested in any of these positions, please remember to check your QU email.  There is one application process to apply for every student leadership position and that application will open toward the end of the fall semester.  The hiring process for all positions typically concludes by March in the spring semester.

Applicants must participate in all aspects of the interview process to be considered for a Resident Assistant position.
